North Star

The North Star project is the most highly classified operation ever to be undertaken by the four Earth-Lords, but, unfortunately, it has gone critically wrong.

In the year 2499, the already over-populated earth was gripped in the serious state of starvation. Wars were commonplace and man fought man in the desperate attempt to control the more fertile regions of the earth. An emergency meeting was called by the four Earth-Lords, and together they decided on an elaborate plan. They would construct a space station that would orbit the earth. Not a space station like those you and I know of, but a huge man-made, star-like construction that would be ca¬pable of housing not hundreds of people, but thousands upon thousands of them. Not only would the space station provide a home for these peoples, but with the controlled simulated atmosphere it would be the perfect agricultural site, thus helping ease the food shortage.

Daily flights filled with materials and scientists were sent to build and test the station. Everything seemed to be on schedule until one day when a flight never returned from the station. The space station, now known as the North Star, was paged from the operations centre on the Earth, but there was no reply.

Upon arriving aboard the station you find that the North Star has been over-run by a strange alien horde. No human lifeforms are visible. Are they all dead? The life-support systems all seem to be inoperative and only your robotic implants stop you from becoming a victim of the aliens’ atmosphere. Your task is clear: destroy the alien lifeforms and re-activate the life- support systems. To perform the latter, you will have to travel to the very heart of the North Star’s nerve centre. This will not be an easy mission, but you must succeed - all Earth is depending upon you.

El proyecto estrella del norte es la operación más altamente clasificado en ser llevado a cabo por los cuatro Tierra-lores, pero, por desgracia, se ha pasado por la crítica mal.

En el año 2499, la tierra ya poblada sobre-se agarró en el grave estado de inanición. Guerras eran comunes y el hombre luchaban hombre en el desesperado intento de controlar las regiones más fértiles de la tierra. Una reunión de emergencia fue llamado por los cuatro Tierra-lores, y juntos decidieron en un elaborado plan. Ellos construir una estación espacial que órbita alrededor de la tierra. No es una estación espacial como los que usted y yo conocemos, sino un hombre enorme, en forma de estrella que sería la construcción de la vivienda no ca¬pable cientos de personas, pero miles y miles de ellos. No sólo la estación espacial proporcionar un hogar para estos pueblos, pero con la atmósfera simulada controlada sería el sitio perfecto agrícola, lo que ayuda a aliviar la escasez de alimentos.

Al llegar a bordo de la estación a encontrar que la Estrella del Norte ha sido superada por una horda alienígena extraño. No hay formas de vida humanas son visibles. Están todos muertos? Los sistemas de soporte vital todos parecen ser inoperante y sólo sus implantes robóticos le impida convertirse en una víctima de la atmósfera de los alienígenas. Su tarea es clara: destruir las formas de vida alienígenas y volver a activar los sistemas de soporte vital. Para llevar a cabo este último, tendrá que viajar hasta el corazón del centro neurálgico de la Estrella del Norte. Esto no será una misión fácil, pero hay que tener éxito - toda la Tierra está dependiendo de usted.
